IGCSE Board Class 3 Syllabus

The IGCSE Class 3 curriculum provides a well-balanced syllabus. It focuses on developing creativity, expression and well-being of young learners. Art & Design: The IGCSE syllabus equips learners to express themselves, use their creativity and imagination to create a piece of art, think critically and become informed decision-makers. It covers a wide range of art like painting, model making, digital art and print making.

Computing: The syllabus is divided into five major topics - Computational thinking, managing data, programming, networks & digital communication, computer systems.

Digital Literacy: The syllabus focuses on developing content creation skills. Students can also learn how to use digital technology, develop good presentation skills, etc.

English: The syllabus helps learners to develop long-term enthusiasm for reading, writing and spoken communication. The syllabus supports an integrated approach to make the students learn core skills. The syllabus covers fiction, poetry, play scripts and non-fictional texts.

Global Perspectives: The syllabus focuses on various topics including, keeping the peace, keeping healthy, the world of work, obeying the law, values and beliefs, water, food and farming, etc.

ICT: The ICT syllabus enables learners to use a wide range of computer software to communicate, handle information, model and program solutions. Students also learn a bit of graphics, how to use Microsoft Word or excel, etc.

Mathematics: The syllabus focuses on four critical areas - understanding multiplication & division and strategies for multiplication & division, understanding of fractions, structure of rectangular arrays and describing and analysing two dimensional shapes.

Music: The curriculum offers a lot of flexibility to young learners to choose the musical instruments they want to learn as well as to learn to sing songs.

Physical Education: The syllabus is prepared to improve their understanding of concepts, rules, tactics, strategies and compositional ideas. The subject is taught via using different tasks, challenges and activities.

Science: The syllabus allows learners to think scientifically and understand Science as a part of their life. The curriculum focuses on six core areas - Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth & Space, Thinking & Working Scientifically, Science in context.
