CBSE or the Central Board of Secondary Education is a national-level board of education and examination which is managed by the Union Government of India. It is the most preferred and chosen educational board amongst most schools in India.

CBSE Class 12

CBSE Exams Pattern & Grading System
As per the latest CBSE exam pattern, the assessment of students will be done in two areas i.e.
- Scholastic
- Co-scholastic
The academic year is split into two sessions i.e. Formative and Summative Assessments
Formative Assessment (FA):
Through this assessment, the students are observed on a regular basis regarding their progress in academics. It includes conversations, projects, class-work, visual testing, assignments, class test, homework, practical, quizzes, oral testing, etc. These formative assessments are purely informal, however, the date and time of test will be announced beforehand. These assessments will be conducted in the regular periods of concerned subjects.
Summative Assessment (SA):
This assessment test is the final assessment of the student’s performance. This assessment will be conducted twice a year, at the end of each term in the form of a proper pen and paper-based test conducted by the schools themselves.
All the internal and the external assessments will be made in marks. However, the overall results will be given in grades. The final report card of students will reflect only the grades.
For Class 1 to Class 5
The CBSE exam pattern for class 1 to 5 is same and the grades given are on 5 point scale. The grades will be based on a student’s performance in all the 6 exams (4 FAs and 2 SAa).

For Class 10
Solving CBSE Sample Papers will give students an idea of exam pattern, marking scheme etc. Moreover, they can also time their preparation level.
The Central Board of Secondary Education shortly known as CBSE conducts the board exams for class 10th and 12th students every year. The exams are held mostly in February/March. The CBSE results are announced by the end of May. After the declaration of the result, board releases the answers of the questions papers which are called as CBSE Marking Scheme. Marking Scheme is released for all the subject papers of class 10 and class 12.
The board had reduced the CBSE syllabus of class 10 and 12 by 30%. Due to which, there is some change in the paper pattern. This question paper contains two parts A and B.

# Section I has 16 questions. Internal choice is provided in 5 questions.
# Section II has four case study-based questions. Each case study has 5 case-based sub-parts. An examinee is to attempt any 4 out of 5 sub-parts.
Part – B:
# Question No 21 to 26 are Very short answer Type questions of 2 mark each.
# Question No 27 to 33 are Short Answer Type questions of 3 marks each.
# Question No 34 to 36 are Long Answer Type questions of 5 marks each.

For Class 12
CBSE class 12 marking scheme is the guide that is used for allocating the marks to the candidates.
Every year CBSE releases the marking scheme for the class 12 students in the official site.
Marking scheme for a subject is the answer key that contains the step by step marking of each answer. The CBSE evaluate the answer sheet of the students based on this marking scheme.
For the academic year 2020-21, the board has reduced the class 12 syllabus by 30%. This change has been done by noticing the situation of widespread of coronavirus worldwide.
Based on the revised syllabus, the board has made certain changes in the paper pattern. They have also released the CBSE Class 12 Sample Papers 2021 along with the marking scheme on the official website.

Evaluating: Present and defend opinions by making judgments about information, validity of ideas, or quality of work based on a set of criteria.
