GuruQ provides tutors for all subjects (K-12) offered under CBSE, ICSE, GCSE and IB boards along with SAT, GMAT, GRE and other under graduate courses.

Currently,

For OFFLINE classes: GuruQ is active only in Delhi NCR region which includes - New Delhi, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad.

For ONLINE classes: we are live Pan-India

All GuruQ-certified tutors undergo a 4-step rigorous teacher scrutiny process including a Proficiency Test, a Online or Offline Interview with our team and a full Background Check conducted by our external partners.
If you are not satisfied with a particular tutor, our team will help you find one that is more suitable to you.

Each tutor decides whether he/she offers a free demo class.
If he/she DOES offer free demo class - his/her preference for ONLINE or OFFLINE demo class will also be mentioned on his/her profile.
Note: You can view a tutor’s picture or video in his/her profile along with a 360 degree view of his classroom (applicable in the case of offline group tuition).

In the case that the tutor only offers OFFLINE demo class, you can schedule a free OFFLINE demo class with the tutor for a mutually agreed time.

Go to My Assignments -> Download Test.
Complete the test offline and then upload your solution. My Assignments -> Upload Assignment

If you cannot attend a class, then that class can be re-scheduled for another time. If you do not inform the tutor 4-hours before OFFLINE class and 2-hours before ONLINE class then, you have to pay for the class.
You can go to My Dashboard -> My Class Bundles -> Bundle No. -> Listing Schedule will appear -> Click on ‘Reschedule’ -> Write Change Request -> Send to Your Tutor.
A student can re-schedule classes ONLY if the tutor accepts the re-scheduling or cancellation. If the tutor does not accept the re-scheduling then the student will be charged for that class. Therefore the re-scheduling or cancellation needs to be MUTUALLY AGREED UPON.

You can re-schedule or cancel your class with your tutor ONLY until 4-hour before that class (OFFLINE)

If for some reason your tutor cannot attend a class, then that class can be re-scheduled for another time.
Your tutor can re-schedule the class ONLY if you accept the re-scheduling or cancellation. The re-scheduling or cancellation needs to be MUTUALLY AGREED UPON.
If you do not agree to the rescheduling or cancellation then the tutor will not be paid for that class.

Students have to pay upfront for full package of classes chosen.
Note: Most tutors offer a free DEMO Class (see tutor’s profile for more info)

In this case, please Contact the GuruQ team on student@guruq.in. GuruQ will find alternative tutor options for you to chose from and refund the payment through Q-points so that you can use those points towards classes from an alternative tutor.

ALL REFUNDS to students are made in the form of Q-Points.

E.g. If a student changes a tutor after taking a few a classes - After filling out a small form explaining the reason for change, the student can change his/her tutor and will be refunded in terms of Q-Points.

As a student if you do not like the tutor after attending a few classes, you can change his tutor after filling out a small form explaining the reason for change. Since, you have to pay for classes at the beginning, you will be refunded in terms of Q-Points (if the reason is justified). These Q-Points can be used as payment to another tutor.
Go to My DashBoard -> My Class Bundles -> Press Cancel -> Give reason for cancellation -> Entries go to Admin Panel -> (If reason is accepted, then the balance amount is refunded into Student’s Account as Q-Points.

As a student you have to first complete the current Class Bundle after which you can renew it.

Once you (student) has selected a tutor for a particular class/subject & made the payment, you can change the tutor for that subject up to 3 times. But, you has to fill out a form explaining the reason for change.
Go to My DashBoard -> My Class Bundles -> Give Reason -> Admin. Admin will approve your request and refund your account in the form of Q-Points. These Q-Points can be used as payment to another tutor.

Depending on your or your child’s preference you can choose to take a free demo class ONLINE or OFFLINE.

Once you make your GuruQ account and link to your child’s account, go to Child’s Profile -> Report Card -> View Details.

If your child is already registered with GuruQ, he will have a GuruQ ID. To link your account with your child’s simply following the below steps:
Go to My Dashboard -> My Profile -> Add Child -> Enter GuruQ ID of Child -> Submit. Your child’s account will be linked.
If your child is NOT already registered with GuruQ, follow the below steps:
Go to My Dashboard -> My Profile -> Add Child -> Fill in Form (regarding Child’s details) -> Submit. A new GuruQ ID will generate and your child’s account will be linked to yours.

If your account is already linked with your child’s, then it will automatically get linked your child’s tutor.

Go to My Dashboard -> My Child -> Videos

As a parent, to take any action against the tutor, you must ensure that your account is linked to your child’s and child’s tutor’s accounts. If you do not like the tutor after your child attending a few classes - the parent can change the tutor after filling out a small form explaining the reason for change.
Go to My DashBoard -> My Child’s Class Bundles -> Press Cancel -> Give reason for cancellation -> Entries go to Admin Panel -> (If reason is accepted, then the balance amount is refunded into Student’s Account as Q-Points.
Upon cancellation and changing of the tutor, the payment that was made at the beginning of the month will be refunded as Q-Points and reflected in the STUDENTS’s account. These Q-Points can be used as payment towards another tutor.
NOTE: Parent can cancel a tutor ONLY for his/her child

No. All payments are made to GuruQ.in, in order to maintain quality and standard assurance. GuruQ ensures that all its tutors are appropriately paid.

TUTORS

To become a tutor on GuruQ, simply go to the GuruQ Homepage -> Tutor -> Become a Tutor.
You must complete the 4-Step Registration Process, comprising of a Basic Form, a Proficiency Test (based on the subjects and class you would like to teach), Online or Offline Interview with our GuruQ team member and a Background Check to become a Guru-Q certified tutor.

No, you do not have to pay to be listed as a Tutor on GuruQ. Its FREE! You simply have to complete the 4-Step Registration Process.

GuruQ tutors are paid at the end of every month for the number of hours they have taught through GuruQ during that month.

A GuruQ tutor will be awarded 3 levels - Gold, Silver & Bronze. These will be based on a weighted average of various pre-determined criteria as well as the reviews and ratings from parents and students. Please see the Tutor Rating Policy for more information.

A GuruQ tutors’s overall rating will be altered at the end of every week.

If as a tutor, you cannot attend a class, then that class can be re-scheduled for another time.
You must go to My Dashboard -> Click on My Class Bundles -> Click on Bundle No. -> Listing of Schedule will appear ->
Click on Reschedule Button -> Add time and date -> New Schedule will be created

Note: Constant rescheduling/cancelling can lead to loss of students and reduction in your rating on GuruQ.

In this case, GuruQ will find alternative tutor options for the student and refund the payment through Q-points so that the student can use those points towards classed from another tutor.
On the backend, the reason for cancellation by the tutor will be found out and if it is not a justifiable reason, the rating of the tutor will diminish.

Yes, as a tutor you can change your own availability schedule, but all your current students need to agree and accept this change.
My Dashboard -> Schedule Classes -> Create A Schedule Button -> Fill form -> Assign the selected students -> Submit.
Students will get notification of schedule change.
Note: If a student does not accept your change, then you may have to adjust your availability to match that of your current students, otherwise the student could choose to cancel his package and opt for another tutor.

If a student completes an assignment offline, and later uploads the answer sheet on his dashboard.
You, the tutor, must go to My Dashboard -> My Assignments -> Download -> Check -> Give Score -> Input Score -> Submit.
The score will then be updated & reflected in the Progress Report.
NOTE: Only tests held online (timed & untimed) will have automatic score generation.
